New Construction – Ferry for Pumpkin Island, Australia

Previous construction of one unit 11.8M Aluminum Power Catamaran for a resort on Pumpkin Island, Queensland, Australia. This ferry had a forward boarding ramp and passenger access to the upper deck.

Specification:

Length OA 11.80M, Beam 4.40M, Depth 1.30M, Displacement per design.

  • Marine grade [5083 H116 Mill Finish DNV Cert] aluminum hull, deck and full cabin superstructure from CNC kitset. Hull bottom thickness 6mm, sides 4mm, superstructure 4mm.
  • Transoms to suit outboard horsepower up to 350HP.
  • Heavy duty wear plates to fore foot.
  • 6 x zinc anodes.
  • Bow storage area with access through hatch in foredeck.
  • Step/ladder access to roof/luggage storage.
  • Non-skid paint to foredeck and side decks.
  • Non-skid rubber mat fitted throughout.
  • Interior headlining and cabin sides, Formica finish.
  • Roll-up side curtains/clears fitted to aft cockpit area both sides per design.
  • Marine grade waterproof aluminum windows, 2 x side sliding opening, remainder fixed.
  • Aluminum or 316L stainless steel guardrail to foredeck and cabin roof. Cabin roof rail to be removable for shipping.
  • 6 x 10” aluminum cleats.
  • Aluminum or stainless steel bollard on foredeck.
  • 2 x Yamaha F300 4-stroke outboards, counter-rotating, ultra-long leg [30”].
  • Outboard controls standard Yamaha supply plus single binnacle fly-by-wire and dual key switches.
  • Hydraulic steering – Hydrive bullhorn type with hydraulic link, helm pump, piping and steering wheel installed.
  • Cushioned side bench seating for 20 pax and forward facing seats for 12 pax in aft cabin. Cushioned bench seating in bow area per design.
  • Shelving under seats in aft cabin for dry goods.
  • Helm seat with bolster.
  • Anchor windlass 12VDC, anchor roller on bow sprit, anchor line all chain – length TBA.
  • Heavy duty windscreen wiper.
  • Electrical panel 12VDC, 16 breaker and wiring, dual 12V charging sockets.
  • Battery 3 way switch panel, service, engine, parallel.
  • Battery boxes for engine start x 2.
  • Battery boxes for service batteries x 2.
  • Batteries standard heavy duty, local supply
  • Navigation lights LED, USCG standard.
  • Interior lighting LED x 2 above wheelhouse console, 6 in headlining over cockpit, 1 in forward storage area.
  • 1 x remote manually operated spotlight over helm position, 2 x fixed spotlights aft on cabin roof.
  • Headlights at bow.
  • Horn 12VDC.
  • 4 x 2000 gph bilge pumps.
  • 2 x manual bilge pumps.
  • Jabsco fresh water pump, cold water.
  • Freshwater 200 litres
  • Single 12VDC toilet, hand basin in head.
  • Black water tank 100 litres, manual pump with deck connection for pump-out to dock.
  • Fuel 2 x 500 litres.
  • Fuel filters/water separator – Yamaha supply.
  • Removable dive tank storage racks under cockpit deck in each hull.
  • Dinghy rack to suit 3M RIB fitted to aft platform.
  • Manual davit, capacity 250kg per design.
  • Fitting in aft cockpit area deck for removable table.
  • Jotun epoxy primer and anti-fouling applied to hull underwater area.
  • Standard USCG safety equipment to include 3 x 1.5kg fire extinguishers, 4 x 12 person Karly floats, 2 x life rings, 40 x PFD Type 1 life jackets.
